We Will Never Forget

The Eleventh Of September
Written by Roger J. Robicheau

We mourn their loss this day this year
Those now with God, no danger near

So many loved ones left do stand
Confronting loss throughout our land

My heart goes out to those who do
No one can fathom what they view

I firmly pray for peace of mind
Dear God please help each one to find

And to our soldiers now at war
God guide above, at sea, on shore

They are the best, I have no doubt
Our country’s pride, complete, devout

The finest force you’ll ever see
All freedom grown through liberty

One final thought comes clear to me
For what must live in infamy

Absolutely – We’ll Remember
The Eleventh – Of September

Oregon Ducks Spring Game April 30th

Anyone else ready for some Oregon Ducks football? The 2016 Oregon Ducks Spring game is closely approaching and I can't wait!. Duck fans can rejoice, football is back!! Nike, has always created special Armed Forces uniforms for the athletes to wear during the Spring scrimmage, what can we expect in 2016? Come join 35,000 fellow Duck fans and enjoy a fun day of Duck football and hopefully nice weather as we get a good preview of the 2016 team.

While much of the attention is on the action on the field, the dedication to those who risk their lives to protect and serve our country makes the Spring Game far more meaningful.

Most teams have Spring games but few teams have been able to attach such a powerful meaning to the game like Oregon has. In addition to the military appreciation, admittance to the game is an encouraged donation of a non-perishable food item that helps boost donations to the local food bank, Food for Lane County.

The Oregon Spring Game helps the community raise food for those in need while paying respect for all divisions of the United States Armed Forces and of course, gives us the much needed football fix we have all been craving for. So bring some extra canned food, bring your Duck spirit, and support our troops at this year’s Spring Game on Saturday, April 30, at 11 a.m.
